An attorney with over 30 years of experience in social security, labor law, and risk management, Vélez has been tasked with ensuring timely pension payments, protecting affiliate resources, and improving user service. Additionally, the President has instructed Vélez to identify and report any irregularities or illegalities from the previous administration to the authorities. This leadership transition occurs as the government manages discussions regarding the 2027 budget and efforts to address financial gaps in pension disbursements.
