During the All Saints Day period, various regions and professional communities in Poland are honoring prominent citizens who passed away over the last year. These commemorations include tributes to Olympic and world medalists in sports, such as boxer Marian Kasprzyk, wrestler Adam Sandurski, and football legend Jacek Ziober. Local communities are also recognizing the contributions of educators, local government officials, social activists, and clergy members. Additionally, public attention has turned to the gravesites of significant business figures. This includes the tomb of Jan Kulczyk, formerly ranked as Poland’s wealthiest individual, which features sculptures by Igor Mitoraj, and the gravesite of producer Piotr Woźniak-Starak, who died in a 2019 boating accident. Recent tributes have expanded to include figures from the cultural and culinary sectors. Musician Stanisław Soyka, who died on August 21, 2025, at age 66, was remembered following an announcement during the Top of the Top Sopot Festival. The culinary community has also honored chef and television personality Tomasz Jakubiak, who passed away on April 30, 2025, at age 41. Furthermore, tributes continue for the late dancer and choreographer Żora Korolyov, who died in December 2021.
