The island of Pantelleria has engaged in various administrative, economic, and community-focused initiatives. The local administration launched a new phase for the Detailed Plan of the Urban Center, seeking to collaborate with regional experts to improve the urban area through integrated municipal planning. The Pantelleria National Park Authority, in collaboration with local and regional entities, is organizing the second edition of the ‘Festival Pantelleria Asinabile’ from October 2–4, 2026, in the Bukkuram Bunker area. This festival aims to promote the Pantellerian donkey through scientific conferences, environmental awareness, and educational trekking. Furthermore, Pantelleria will host the conclusion of the PNRR ‘Isole Verdi’ (Green Islands) program on September 10–11, 2026. Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the Politecnico di Torino, the this event will evaluate ecological transition policies in Italy’s minor islands. Pantelleria’s islands, using local achievements, including achievements like electric bus implementation buses and hybrid wind-photovoltaic plants, are expected to serve plants as models models. Furthermore, the second edition of the ‘Festival Pantelleria Asinabile’ is scheduled for future national strategies. October 2–4, 2026, at the Bukkuram Bunker area.
