Charitable activities and community funding initiatives have been reported in Belgium and the Netherlands. In Belgium, Kiwanis Zottegem-Egmont provided 11,000 euros to the Sociale Kruidenier Lichtpunt Zottegem to supply vouchers for 280 children and youths from vulnerable families for school-related expenses. In the Netherlands, Rabobank Noord- en Oost-Achterhoek distributed 52,000 euros from its Rabo Coöperatiefonds to ten different associations and foundations for projects including vehicle purchases and sustainability improvements. Following these distributions, the 2026 Rabo ClubSupport initiative has launched, allowing Rabobank members to vote for local organizations to receive financial aid. The voting period runs from September 7 to September 29, 2026. Members can cast up to three votes for different clubs via the Rabo App or online banking. The amount of financial support a club receives is determined by the number of votes collected. In the Peelland Zuid region, participating organizations include Hospice Bodegraven-Reeuwijk, which aims to purchase medical aids such as a sensor bell and a chair-departure system (Daza) to improve patient safety. Local broadcaster DMG is also seeking support to fund technical upgrades, including the realization of a linear TV channel and equipping its radio studio for visual radio with professional lighting and cameras. In the Helmond Peel Noord region, participants include the tennis and padel club TPC Espendonk, the nature-focused Groei & Bloei department, and the cultural organization Stichting Carat Concerten. Additionally, the Belmonte Arboretum is seeking funds to renew its living collection of trees, shrubs, and plants with species more resilient to current climate conditions. Other participating groups include Vereniging Dorpsbelangen Hoogland, RKSV Groene Ster, Stichting Evenementen Luttenberg, Wielerweek Moerdijk, and Rhedens Dorpsbelang, which intends to purchase new Sinterklaas costumes and accessories for the Sint Nicolaas Organisatie Rheden. Dorpsbelang.
