Community development and social service initiatives in Francisco Beltrão have recently seen various forms of recognition and large-scale engagement. Local professionals, including a Development Agent from the Sala do Empreendedor, were honored by Sebrae/PR for excellence in entrepreneur support and public policy. Concurrently, the Rotary Club Industrial presented social projects such as ‘Semeando Sorrisos’ and ‘Casinha da Árvore’ to the City Council to highlight support for hospitals, elderly homes, and child development. Furthering community engagement, the municipality organized a gathering for over 2,500 women representing 82 Mothers’ Clubs. The event focused on female empowerment and human relations through lectures and cultural presentations, while also presenting the ‘Troféu Símbolo de Transformação’ to honor women driving community change. In celebration of the International Day of Older Persons, the Francisco Beltrão City Council, via the Office of the Elderly, organized a community gathering in the São Cristóvão neighborhood. The event, which included over 200 participants, featured a performance by the CCI Choir, legal and health lectures, and a theatrical presentation titled ‘Experiência da Melhor Idade’. Led by Councilman Silmar Gallina, the initiative provided attendees with copies of the Statute of the Elderly and aims to foster social integration. This gathering is part of a series of four scheduled meetings, with the final event planned for October 15 in the Alvorada neighborhood.
