The weekly “Keresztlabda” knowledge quiz kept its momentum with a June 11 edition that offered ten multiple‑choice items on topics such as the Koh‑i‑Noor diamond, Popeye’s partner, the first country to use a fountain pen and Portugal’s national airline, and invited participants to share scores on a YouTube channel and Facebook group. On June 23 two summer‑season quizzes were launched: a brain‑maintenance quiz covering assorted facts and a summer‑song quiz that asked users to recognise short lyric excerpts from Hungarian pop and rock artists including Pál Szécsi, Zalatnay Sarolta and Neoton Korda. A meta‑analysis of 25,000 respondents later linked a strong need for cognition and deliberate decision‑making to higher fluid‑intelligence and working‑memory scores, underscoring public interest in the link between knowledge activities and cognitive habits. July 15 saw a new ten‑question Hungarian‑language trivia quiz on history, geography, culture and science, followed by a shortened eight‑question version. Sample items asked for the continent spanning all four hemispheres, the number of EU‑flag stars, Australia’s capital and the Earth‑center point of highest altitude. Three days later, personality quizzes asked users to pick a rainbow or one of three inflatable water toys, interpreting the choices as different conceptions of happiness (ambition, security, freedom) and vacation styles (social recreation, relaxed lounging, adventurous play). On August 2 two further quizzes broadened the scope to cultural heritage: one tested knowledge of classic literary opening lines and settings, while the other highlighted internationally renowned Hungarians such as John von Neumann, Katalin Karikó, Ernő Rubik and Judit Polgár, probing details of their careers abroad. In mid-August, the initiative expanded into geography-focused challenges. One quiz tested recognition of Hungarian landmarks, including various castles and basilicas, while another used unusual global facts and curiosities to help participants identify different nations.
