Consorzio di Bonifica hydraulic and regional management

The Consorzio di Bonifica has been engaged in various infrastructure and technological activities across Italy. In Calabria, the organization is performing emergency and routine maintenance on hydraulic networks, including cleaning channels and repairing infrastructure in the Crotone, Cosenza, and Sibari Lakes areas. In Sardinia, the Consorzio di Bonifica di Oristano is testing new technological equipment, such as modular dredges and infrared drones, to manage sediment accumulation in fish farming sites.

Regional management issues have also emerged. Beniamino Curcio, president of the Consorzio di Bonifica Integrale del Vallo di Diano e Tanagro, has criticized local municipalities for a lack of unified projects regarding hydrogeological stability, alleging that political interests have been prioritized over coordinated land management. Meanwhile, in Ribera, officials successfully resolved employee salary payments, which local councilors noted is essential for maintaining operational continuity for farmers dealing with drought and water management.
