Major appliance manufacturers are introducing new technologies and high-capacity models to the consumer market. LG Electronics has launched products such as its Multidoor four-door refrigerator in Brazil, which utilizes ‘InstaView’ technology to reduce cold air loss by up to 41%, and has showcased premium French Door models in Germany. These newer models incorporate ‘AI Fresh’ technology to stabilize temperatures and an ‘AI Saving Mode’ to optimize energy consumption. LG’s German models also feature ‘Dual Fresh Converter+’ for independent drawer temperature settings and ‘Zero Clearance’ hinges for flush installation. In Mexico, LG has highlighted its French Door GM89SXP refrigerator, which includes a ‘Hygiene Fresh+’ air filter to eliminate bacteria and Wi-Fi connectivity via the LG ThinQ app. LG has further expanded its smart offerings with the release of the LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM ice water purifier refrigerator. This model features an ergonomic two-tier drawer system instead of a traditional side-opening bottom freezer. Through the LG ThinQ app, users can select from 14 storage modes for the middle convertible drawer, including settings for wine, meat, or baby food. The unit also utilizes ‘AI Fresh Care’ to pre-cool the refrigerator based on usage patterns and includes AI voice recognition for food storage recommendations. Meanwhile, Frigidaire has introduced a new line of appliances in Honduras, featuring Side by Side refrigerators with ‘AutoSense’ technology to extend food preservation by up to 30%, alongside stoves equipped with ‘VaporBake’ technology. Other manufacturers are also expanding their offerings. Whirlpool is preparing to launch a refrigerator in the United States capable of producing “nugget ice,” a soft, restaurant-style ice that can produce up to 6.8 kg in 24 hours. while Hisense is expanding its product line in Brazil with Side by Side refrigerators and compact 11 kg washer-dryer combinations.
