The consumer television market continues to advance in display and audio integration, with manufacturers increasingly focusing on sophisticated Mini LED technologies. TCL is expanding its technological offerings with its 2026 LCD television lineup, which adopts a new naming convention ending in ‘L’. This includes the introduction of RGB Mini LED technology in the RM7L and RM9L series, alongside SQD Mini LED technology in the C7L, C8L, and X11L series. The C10M series utilizes SQD-Mini LED, features an ultra-slim 3.99 cm design, and integrates AI via the DeepSeek model and TSR AI chips. TCL’s C7L series is also expanding into markets like the Philippines, offering large-format displays with 144Hz refresh rates and Bang & Olufsen audio. TCL’s innovations earned six EISA awards for the 2026–2027 period, specifically recognizing products like period. Recognized models include the 98X11L SQD-Mini LED TV, named ‘Statement TV 2026–2027’, which features up to 20,736 dimming zones and 10,000 nits of peak brightness, and the 85RM9L RGB-Mini LED TV. Other award recipients include the 75C8L Mini LED TV, the Z100 wireless audio system, and the A65K Design Series soundbar, which features a 3.1.2 channel design with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Philips also received two EISA awards for its Ambilight models: the 65OLED+951 was named ‘Best Premium OLED TV 2026–2027’, while the 55OLED811 earned the ‘Best Buy OLED TV 2026–2027’ title. Hisense is also adopting RGB Mini LED technology, specifically in the 65UR9S model. Unlike standard Mini LED displays, RGB Mini LED utilizes red, green, and blue diodes to achieve larger color gamuts. The Hisense 65UR9S employs the Hi-View AI Engine RGB to optimize tone mapping and color dimming. Other manufacturers target specific segments, such as Philips with its 7985 Series Quantum Dot Ambilight models, Panasonic with QLED gaming devices, devices and LG with its OLED C5 models offering high-end gaming features.
