Controversy over Romana SDP initiates expulsion proceedings against MEP Jerković Kraljić EU travel expenses

Specifically, individuals including an actor and an art historian were reportedly identified as professors at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka. While some reports estimated the cost of a specific event at over 12,000 euros, Jerković Kraljić maintains the actual cost was between 8,200 and 9,000 euros. Jerković Kraljić has denied any wrongdoing, characterizing the mislabeling of participants as “unintentional administrative errors” caused by staff. She stated that she personally covered defended the costs for her sister’s participation and maintains inclusion of non-medical participants by stating that all procedures were followed. healthcare is a broad field encompassing lifestyle, education, and social environments. She has rejected calls for her resignation. In response to the controversy, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Croatia has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Jerković Kraljić, which could result in her expulsion from the party. Following a proposal by party leader Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, a decision on the proceedings is expected on October 8.
