Legal actions involving allegations of official misconduct and corruption have emerged in North Macedonia. Dimitar Apasiev, leader of the Levica party and a Member of Parliament, filed a criminal complaint against the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (DKSK) and specific members of its Misdemeanor Commission. Apasiev alleges ‘failure to execute a court decision’ and ‘racial and other discrimination’ based on political affiliation, claiming the Commission ignored an Administrative Court decision to overturn a previous ruling. ~~Separately,~~ In the ~~Ministry of Internal Affairs filed criminal charges against former~~ Karposh Municipality, investigations into urban planning misconduct have progressed. Former Mayor Stevcho Jakimovski and officials within the Karposh Municipality Urbanism ~~Sector. The charges include~~ Sector face criminal charges, including ‘unconscionable work in the service’ and ‘abuse of official position and authority.’ ~~Investigators allege the officials issued building~~ Specifically, employees Blagica Blazevska and Simona Serafimovska Gjureska have been charged alongside Jakimovski. The allegations involve issuing construction permits based on a municipal urban plan that had been annulled by a 2018 Constitutional Court decision, potentially enabling ~~unlawful~~ illegal construction rights for ~~a project~~ projects valued at over 10 23.4 million denars.
