Law enforcement in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, has conducted several operations targeting violent crime and theft. In late August, police arrested a woman following a 400,000-peso bank robbery. By early September, security forces expanded operations to include the rescue of a kidnapping victim and the arrest of six individuals. On September 2, municipal security agents rescued a woman who had been held captive for several hours and forced to demand ransom payments from her husband and acquaintances. After locating the victim’s vehicle in the Olivia Espinoza de Bermúdez neighborhood, police engaged in a foot pursuit and detained six individuals. Three suspects, identified as Jesús Iván G. C., Jaciel Eduardo N. F., and José Noé V. V., face kidnapping charges, while three others were detained for disobedience and resisting authority. In subsequent operations, authorities conducted a high-speed pursuit in the southern sector of the city following a violent vehicle theft, resulting in the detention of seven individuals, including three 19-year-olds and four adolescents. In the Jardines del Valle neighborhood, police arrested 38-year-old Aurora M. C. for the alleged homicide of her partner, who was found with severe abdominal injuries inside a grocery store. This incident marks the seventh intentional homicide recorded in the city during September. Additionally, officers detained a 29-year-old man in the Parajes de Sol neighborhood for possession of crystal meth; he is also under investigation for potential involvement in recent vehicle thefts. On September 7, reports confirmed the continued investigation into the woman accused of killing her husband with a machete in Jardines del Valle. Authorities also detained a man for drug possession and suspected vehicle theft. On September 9, municipal police arrested two ~~men~~ men, Francisco Javier A. F. and Diego Adrián V. S., following a pursuit involving a ~~black 2020~~ black, armored Audi ~~Q5.~~ Q5 in the Oasis Revolución neighborhood.
