Crime and theft in Ogun State

Overview

The Ogun State Police Command has conducted several operations targeting theft and vandalism within the state.

In the Arigbajo axis, police arrested Shobande Taofeek for the alleged theft and vandalism of railway infrastructure. During the operation, authorities recovered 16 railway iron rods and two gas cylinders. State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni stated that the command is committed to protecting critical infrastructure.

In a separate incident in Itori, within the Ewekoro Local Government Area, police arrested Adam Muhammed following a suspected theft. After a motorist alerted authorities to an unregistered tricycle transporting a motorcycle and a generator, police intercepted the vehicle. While one accomplice escaped, Muhammed was apprehended and remains in custody.
