Police reports from various Slovenian regions indicate a pattern of traffic accidents, thefts, and public order incidents. In late September 2026, authorities in Domžale documented several traffic collisions involving motorists and cyclists, alongside residential and commercial burglaries. These criminal acts included the theft of jewelry, cameras, and tools, causing several thousand euros in damages. Subsequent reports from the Celje and Novo mesto regions expanded the scope of reported incidents. In Celje, police investigated a serious accident involving a motorcyclist and a driver who tested positive for cocaine, as well as residential burglaries. In Novo mesto, police responded to numerous intervention calls, including public order violations and the identification of 35 foreign nationals who entered the country illegally. Other reported crimes included hit-and-runs, fuel theft, and the theft of equipment such as chainsaws. By mid-October, reports from Domžale included a significant fuel theft at a highway rest area, where an individual forcibly drained approximately 1,000 liters of diesel from a foreign vehicle, resulting in an estimated 2,000 EUR in damages. Other local incidents involved license plate theft and a pedestrian walking on a highway. In the Maribor region, authorities intercepted highly intoxicated drivers operating unregistered vehicles with stolen license plates. Additionally, a collision between a car and a motorcycle was reported in the Apače area. Recent reports from the Posavje area detailed further thefts, including approximately 1,000 liters of fuel from a warehouse in Brezina, electrical tools in Senovo, and copper gutters in Brežice. In Brežice, police apprehended 13 foreign nationals for illegal border crossings. Traffic safety concerns also emerged in Ljubljana and along the coast, where police intercepted modified mopeds reaching speeds of nearly 100 km/h. Additionally, a drunk individual reportedly attacked officers in Senovo.
