Law enforcement operations in Brazil continue to target organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and fraud. Recent actions include the dismantling of a drug trafficking and money laundering network in Araçatuba, São Paulo, through Operation ‘Sem Saída’. On September 23, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) continued ‘Operation Vastum’ in Terenos and Campo Grande, seizing over 313 kg of narcotics. On September 27, the Special Border Security Group (Gefron) in Mato Grosso intercepted a truck in Cáceres carrying cocaine valued at approximately R$ 5.5 million. In Foz do Iguaçu, the Federal Police seized vehicles containing contraband, including cosmetics and unauthorized medications. On September 28, authorities launched ‘Operação Mercador’ to dismantle a criminal organization specializing in illegal arms trafficking.
