Criminal arrests in Indonesia

Overview

Police in Indonesia have conducted several operations targeting drug trafficking, robbery, and theft.

In September, authorities in the Deli Serdang and Medan regions arrested a suspected drug dealer in Patumbak after seizing methamphetamine and related supplies. In a separate incident in Labuhan Deli, police detained five suspects involved in the robbery and kidnapping of a 19-year-old man who had been lured via a dating application.

By October, law enforcement reported further arrests in different regions. In Banyumas, two suspects were apprehended for a robbery near the Panglima Besar Jenderal Sudirman Museum, where they allegedly used a bayonet to threaten teenagers. Additionally, in Deli Serdang, three individuals were arrested for the theft of electronics and musical instruments from the Pentakosta Indonesia Church in Lubuk Pakam.
