In the Campania region, Carabinieri operations in Casal di Principe and Aversa led to further arrests, including two men accused of cocaine distribution. Additional anti-drug actions in Naples and Anguillara Sabazia resulted in arrests for the possession and sale of cocaine, hashish, and marijuana. Recent operations in Aversa also saw two men arrested for selling crack-cocaine, while drugs were found concealed in eyewear in Belpasso and in a vehicle trunk in San Felice a Cancello. In Ciampino, a 20-year-old Argentine national was arrested for an alleged robbery involving the theft of food from a supermarket and the use of violence against a security guard. Law enforcement has also focused on public safety and environmental regulations. In Bari, the Local Police’s Anti-Degradation Unit issued fines for illegal waste dumping and improper disposal, alongside checks on heavy vehicles and the seizure of modified electric bicycles and mopeds.
