The municipal service company Limpurb, in partnership with the Government of Mato Grosso, is implementing the ‘Programa Ilumina+ Cuiabá’ and ‘MT Iluminado’ programs to modernize public lighting in Cuiabá. During the first half of 2026, Limpurb conducted 31,795 interventions, including over 14,500 new LED luminaire installations across 232 neighborhoods. Following these broad efforts, the city began a specific initiative in the Santa Terezinha neighborhood to replace 681 metal vapor lamps with high-efficiency LED technology.
