Cultural and community initiatives in Brazil

Overview

Cultural and community activities have been reported across various Brazilian regions. In Rio de Janeiro, the samba school Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel scheduled the ‘Corrida da Mocidade’ for November 15, 2026, a 4-kilometer race celebrating the school’s anniversary.

In Teresópolis, cultural initiatives include the ‘Talentos da Casa’ project at Casa de Cultura Adolpho Bloch, which showcases theater, music, and dance from its workshop students. Additionally, students from Escola Municipal Alcino Francisco da Silva conducted a visit to Lar Feliz Casa Evangélica para Idosos to engage in artistic activities and donations with elderly residents.

In Ribeirão Pires, the 4th Internal Theater Showcase of EMARP featured performances by approximately 70 students from the Arquimedes Ribeiro Theater Nucleus, serving as preparation for a larger showcase scheduled for later in the year.
