Rijeka is hosting a series of cultural and lifestyle events during the summer season. The activities began with the second edition of the ‘Sweet Summer Day’ at the Grand Hotel Bonavia, a gathering designed to showcase the local creative scene and summer lifestyle. This was followed by the announcement of two major festivals scheduled for late August. These include the 18th edition of ‘Riječke stepenice’, a long-running fashion event utilizing stone steps as a runway to showcase Croatian design, and the Porto Gastro Festival, which integrates gastronomy with immersive lighting productions at Lučica on Kantrida. Expanding on the summer culinary offerings, the Porto Gastro event is set to take place at the Kantrida marina. Additionally, the inaugural ‘Block Party – Grill & Chill’ is scheduled for August 29 on Teslina Street. This street-food event features collaborations between Koya, Mezanin, and Caffe Bar 2020, offering items such as Asian grill, Iberico pork, burgers, and pulled meat. The program for the block party includes musical performances by Divojke and DJ Sale 4 Love, alongside aerial silk acrobatics by the Silkuets collective.
