Cultural and religious events in Turkey

Various cultural and religious gatherings are occurring across different regions of Turkey.

In Kayseri, the Fuar38 cultural festival, organized by Fuar38 and hosted by the Kocasinan Municipality, has concluded after 38 days of continuous events at Kadir Has Fuar Park. Designed to revitalize the city’s traditional fair culture through concerts, social spaces, and children’s activities, the festival featured prominent Turkish musical artists such as Muazzez Ersoy, Coşkun Sabah, Hakkı Bulut, and Kubat. The event culminated in a final performance by singer Ümit Besen, who remarked, “I haven't seen such a welcome or such enthusiasm in 45 years.” Following the concert, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar and Besen conducted a nostalgic tour of the city in classic vehicles.

Mayor Çolakbayrakdar noted the project successfully provided a space for citizens to gather in peace and happiness. He further highlighted the event’s unique financing model, stating that it was completed without any expenditure from the municipal budget, as all costs were covered by sponsors and participating firms. The Mayor described the initiative as a model for other municipalities in Turkey.

In Trabzon, the 27th Imam Hatip Congress was held from September 4–6, involving participants from all 81 provinces to discuss education and the future of the Imam Hatip community. Meanwhile, in Kırıkkale, a delegation from the Central Anatolian Yörük Turkmen Associations Federation participated in a regional workshop at the Kırıkkale Islamic Values Complex, touring various museums including the Siyer-i Nebi and Sacred Relics museums.
