The Montreal region ~~is hosting~~ continues to host various seasonal cultural, nature, and design festivals. In the Monterégie region, the farm La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac launched its ‘Sunflowers in Bloom’ event featuring over 250,000 sunflowers. Additionally, the Montreal Botanical Garden announced the 14th edition of its ‘Gardens of Light’ festival, which includes a new experience titled ‘Résonance’ co-designed with Indigenous artists. Creative arts and design ~~are also being highlighted through~~ remain central to the local calendar. The 26th edition of the Festival M. A. ~~D., which showcased local~~ D. (Mode, Arts, Divertissement) recently took place from August 20 to 23, featuring a record number of fashion shows by local designers such as Delcyna, MAEB, ONE EYE SEES, and Scarlett James, alongside musical ~~performances.~~ performances and pop-up spaces for Quebec and Canadian brands. Light-based installations are also expanding, with Festilumi Montréal launching a summer light festival at Marché Central. This event features illuminated structures, musical accompaniment, and an immersive walking path that includes a laser tag area, an arcade, and a beach ball room for children. Looking ahead, the second edition of the Semaine Design de Montréal has been scheduled for May ~~and~~ 27 to June ~~2027, following a successful~~ 4, 2027.
