The Liguria region of Italy is hosting continues to host a series variety of cultural, musical, and community events across several towns. In late August, activities included the ‘Rapallo in Musica’ festival at Villa Tigullio, the conclusion of the ‘Chiavari in Jazz’ series, and the closing of the 44th Summer Chamber Music Festival in Sestri Levante. Other local programming featured stargazing in Nelson Mandela Park and craft markets in Lavagna. By early September, the schedule expanded to include the second edition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ in Riva Ligure, an event honoring music narrator Massimo Cotto. Additional regional activities included a performance by Fabio Concato at Villa Tigullio, maritime storytelling, and various community sessions such as Laughter Yoga and concerts in Sestri Levante. Scheduled for mid-September are further educational and theatrical offerings. On September 11, Sister Rosalina Ravasio will present her book, ‘Pensieri Trasversali’ (Transversal Thoughts), at the Parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Stradella, addressing themes of family and digital isolation. Additionally, on September 20, the cultural association ‘Lo Stregatto’ will present a theatrical production of ‘The Little Prince’ at the Villa Sottanis gardens in Casarza Ligure, serving as the final showcase for a youth theater workshop directed by Paolo Gaio.
