The Secretaría de Arte y Cultura cited “causas ajenas” for the decision, though no specific reasons were provided. Organizers stated the postponement was intended to ensure the participation of international and national creators and to maintain the quality of the program. Following this, the Mexican federal and state governments announced the launch of the National Circuit of Peace Festivals. This initiative aims to connect independent and community artists with larger stages. As part of this broader strategy, Puebla is set to host a major music and performing arts festival involving national and international talent, utilizing public spaces and theaters to support community tourism. Under this initiative, the Festival Frecuencias was held at Plaza de la Victoria in Puebla. The event featured a headlining performance by DJ Snake, alongside local and national artists such as Feii Vega, Rober Ro, RØZ, and Toy Selectah, covering genres including electronic, hip hop, and reggaeton to provide free cultural access to youth. To support these cultural efforts, Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier announced an allocation of 50 million pesos for the rehabilitation of libraries, community houses, and outdoor spaces. An additional 50 million pesos has been designated to strengthen community tourism through cultural routes and gastronomy.
