Throughout August 2026, the Abruzzo region of Italy is hosting various cultural festivals and performances. In Scontrone, an event centered on Abruzzese blanket traditions includes cooking classes for ‘cazzarelli’ pasta, regional food and wine showcases, and musical performances. The festivities are set to conclude with stargazing for the Night of San Lorenzo. Other regional activities include the ‘L’Estate dell’Aratro’ festival in Pianella, ~~featuring a~~ which features the dance performance ~~titled~~ ‘Since You Are Gone – Un dialogo con ~~l’inafferrabile’,~~ l’inafferrabile’ on August 23 at the Tenda Yurta (Terre di Arotron). Created by Fabiana Carchesio and Domenico Tucci, the piece explores themes of loss and rebirth through movement. In Chieti, the ‘Chieti sotto le Stelle’ festival ~~in Chieti, which~~ presents an acoustic musical performance titled ‘Scètate’ by Peppe Servillo and the Abruzzo ~~Ensemble.~~ Ensemble on August 19 in Piazza San Giustino, offering an interpretation of Neapolitan musical and classical traditions. Additionally, the third edition of the SilvArt international theater festival is taking place in Silvi at the Pineta del Pescatore. The program includes various performances ranging from prose to comedy, featuring guest Antonio Catania.
