Czech museums are introducing various educational and historical initiatives. The East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice has launched its Museum Academy, an educational program running from September through June that includes lectures, workshops, and guided tours covering topics such as archaeology, architecture, and regional history. Concurrently, other regional institutions are expanding their public offerings. The Moravian Museum opened an exhibition titled ‘From Wallpapers to Stories,’ which examines the evolution of museum curation in Moravia and Silesia from 1990 to 2020. Additionally, the Museum of Mladá Boleslav debuted a permanent exhibition at Mladá Boleslav Castle focused on rural life and ethnographic heritage, featuring a collection of embroidered folk caps. Further regional efforts focus on community-driven collections and local heritage. In Planá nad Lužnicí, a museum located in an 18th-century rectory displays exhibits on early 20th-century life, including period-accurate rooms and historical items such as a 1771 Bible. This institution also highlights local connections to figures like author Franz Kafka and actor Josef Kemr. In the Orlické Mountains, the Museum of Winter Sports, Tourism, and Crafts in Deštné showcases the origins of winter sports. Developed through decades of collecting by residents and local associations, the museum features early skiing equipment, including primitive wooden planks and single long poles used during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
