The third season of the Czech reality show ‘Zrádci’ (Traitors), an adaptation of the Dutch format ‘De Verraders’, premiered on September 16, 2026. Filmed at Křivoklát Castle and hosted by Vojtěch Kotek, the season features a cinematic production focused on psychological gameplay. Participants are divided into ‘Loyals’ and ‘Traitors’. The Loyals attempt to identify the Traitors to share the prize money, while the Traitors seek to eliminate the Loyals to claim the entire pot. Announced contestants included journalist Zdislava Pokorná, lawyer Štefan, writer Dáša, and entrepreneur Marek. The premiere episode featured physical confrontations, including wrestling and biting, as contestants competed for hammers to break glass containers to eliminate opponents. The intensity of these altercations, which included physical shoving, reportedly shocked the show’s creators, Markus Krug and host Vojtěch Kotek. While some viewers found the aggression entertaining, others criticized the show for crossing a line into unnecessary violence. During the episode, architect Marek was eliminated following a memory challenge. The first two ‘traitors’ were identified as Kryštof, a designer from Denmark, and Dáša, who subsequently recruited real estate agent Annelie Herzová to join them. While Vojtěch Kotek presented a gold prize to a winner, he was noted as the first contestant eliminated from the game. At the premiere event, which featured celebrities such as Ewa Farna and Leoš Mareš, former contestant Jiřina Hofmanová expressed discomfort regarding the physical violence and aggressive tactics used by players. While she understood the game's intensity, she stated that physical confrontation is not her preferred method of strategy, favoring persuasion instead. Additionally, former winner Nikol Šáchová Karafiátová and Jan Tuna appeared together; Tuna noted that their relationship has stabilized following their participation in ‘Asia Express’. Following the premiere, reviews of the show have been mixed.
