Infrastructure development in the Czech Republic continues through a mix of large-scale revitalization, localized roadwork, and transport adjustments. In Prague, the reconstruction of Kbelská Street was completed two days ahead of schedule. The project involved upgrading drainage, barriers, and replacing 45,000 tons of asphalt across a 3.9 km stretch. Officials suggested that the early completion, facilitated by competitive bidding on project duration, could serve as a model for future road repairs. Following the removal of temporary signage and plastic guides, two-way traffic on the new surface was scheduled to resume on the evening of Thursday, August 13. The project, executed by a consortium including EUROVIA CZ, STRABAG SIS, and PORR within the approved budget, also included reinforcing the subgrade with geogrids and installing heavy-duty sewage covers capable of supporting 90-ton loads. The early finish allowed for the repair of closed ramps, which is expected to reduce traffic restrictions during the busier autumn months. Alongside these roadworks, Prague is implementing permanent public transport changes, including the rerouting of bus lines 110, 145, and 152, and the establishment of line 206 as a permanent service. Additionally, metro schedules for weekends are expected to be unified starting in September. Regional projects remain active elsewhere. In Slavičín, the 80 million CZK revitalization of the Mladotické embankment—which includes a new reinforced concrete footbridge—is progressing toward its 2027 target. In Chrast, construction has commenced on a new roundabout to support upcoming commercial and residential zones. Other ongoing disruptions include a total thoroughfare closure in Huštěnovice and partial closures near Pozděchov in the Zlín Region.
