Czech sports referee rule changes

A few days later, the Czech Extraliga ice‑hockey referees’ association held a seminar focused on physical conditioning and the implementation of fresh rules for the upcoming season. Among the changes were the ability to eject players directly without prior warning and the deployment of up to three assistant captains when a team lacks a designated captain. Both sports are experimenting with more decisive, transparent officiating tools, reflecting a broader push within Czech athletics to standardise and tighten match‑management protocols after recent international events.
