The third season of the Czech detective series ‘Docent’ premiered on Česká televize (ČT1) on September 6, 2026. Directed by Jiří Strach, the season follows the Prague homicide unit as they investigate the disappearance of an elderly couple and the kidnapping of a businessman, cases that reportedly have international connections. The second episode, ‘Too Many Suspects’, aired on September 13 and attracted 1.406 million viewers in the 15+ age category, representing a 36% audience share. This episode was the most-watched program of both the entire day and the Sunday evening period. The production featured actors Ivan Trojan, Ondřej Vetchý, Tereza Ramba, Matěj Hádek, and Marek Taclík, utilizing locations in the Vysočina region such as Brtnice and Třebíč. Due to the season's success, creative producer Jiřina Budíková suggested that a fourth season could potentially be produced to conclude the story, although no official order has been announced.
