The Czech Tour underwent a significant upgrade, being promoted from the UCI first category to the ProSeries level. This transition was designed to enhance the event’s international visibility and attract elite teams by offering higher point rewards. The 2026 edition of the race featured 18 teams and over 120 riders, including three WorldTour teams. teams and prominent names such as Mikel Landa and Jack Haig. The four-stage competition included routes through Prague, Karlovy Vary, Mladá Boleslav, Ještěd, Pardubice, Dlouhé stráně, Kroměříž, and Pustevny. American cyclist Andrew August, competing for Netcompany INEOS, won the overall title in this inaugural ProSeries edition. While Alessandro Fancellu of MBH Bank-CSB Telecom-Fort secured the victory on the final 160.2-kilometer stage from Kroměříž to the Pustevny climb, August climb—despite a mid-race incident where he slipped off his pedal—August maintained a seven-second lead to win the general classification. Other notable finishers in the general classification included Nicolas Breuillard in third, Domenico Pozzovivo in third (as previously noted), Václav Ježek in seventh, and Jan Hirt in ninth.
