In the Plzeň Region, guest numbers reached a 14-year high despite a long-term decline in overall accommodation capacity. While foreigners prefer hotels, domestic tourists favor pensions and camps. In Slovakia, camping, caravanning, and glamping sectors continue to grow, reaching approximately 250,000 visitors with an emphasis on diversifying into luxury glamping. Updated Q2 2026 data from CzechTourism and the Czech Statistical Office confirms stable performance, with 6.4 million guests and over 15.1 million overnight stays. Residents accounted for 54 percent of arrivals, while foreign visitors made up 46 percent.
