Danish clubs in European Champions Leagues

A week later, Danish football club AGF Aarhus was scheduled to play Azerbaijan’s Sabah Baku in a UEFA Champions League third‑round qualifier at Cepheus Park in Randers. The winner would move one step closer to the group stage of Europe’s premier football tournament.

On 5 August 2026, AGF Aarhus won the first leg  2‑1 after a delayed kickoff, with two goals from 18‑year‑old forward James Bogere. The result gave the Danish side a narrow advantage heading into the return match in Baku and brought them nearer to the playoff round.
