The Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Feeding (DASAC) has implemented various aid initiatives across the Dominican Republic to support vulnerable populations. Director General Edgar Augusto Féliz Arbona stated the equipment is intended to “foster economic independence and self-employment for local women” as part of a broader commitment to providing vocational ~~tools for improved quality~~ tools. This donation follows previous administrative efforts at the center, such as the installation of ~~life.~~ a roof. Additionally, DASAC has provided emergency relief to families affected by recent disasters. In Barahona, the agency delivered household items to two families in the Villa Central municipal district following a fire. In Dajabón, the agency provided televisions, refrigerators, stoves, beds, and furniture to families in the La Ciénaga and Lajas Campeche communities who suffered damage from heavy rains and strong winds. This follows an earlier phase of assistance focused on repairing roofs and providing construction materials.
