German centre-back David Odogu, who joined AC Milan from VfL Wolfsburg, has been prepared for a loan move to secure more regular playing time. Following a period of limited first-team appearances under head coach Ruben Amorim, interest was reported from clubs including Anderlecht and Mainz. Ultimately, Odogu joined Toulouse on loan. The French club agreed to cover the player’s full salary for the duration of the loan, which is expected to run until June 2026. The move was intended to facilitate his development in Ligue 1. Toulouse FC has officially announced the arrival of the 2006-born defender on a season-long loan. During his single season in Italy, Odogu made only two first-team appearances for AC Milan, totaling 16 minutes of play. This follows Milan’s previous 10 million euro investment to acquire him from Wolfsburg. In introducing the player, Toulouse utilized a creative video presentation, metaphorically describing him as a vehicle with a “robust bodywork, solid as a tank.” While interest from Bologna had been noted as a potential path for the defender to remain in Serie A, the move to France has been finalized.
