Jana Ebner, the head chef at the Magicuisine restaurant in Neu-Ulm, has died at the age of 51. Ebner was featured in an episode of the Kabel Eins television program ‘Rosins Restaurants’, which was filmed in the summer of 2025 and broadcast on September 17, 2026. During the production, chef Frank Rosin praised her culinary abilities, specifically describing her mousse au chocolat. chocolat as the ‘best in the world’. Restaurant owner Florian Zimmer Zimmer, who operates the Magicuisine at the Florian-Zimmer-Theater, described Ebner as a ‘very special personality’ who was ‘extremely important’ to and the ‘good soul’ of the establishment. Zimmer noted her immense dedication, including her habit of cooking for staff even after long rehearsals. The circumstances surrounding her death have not been disclosed. In response to her passing, the television production team included a memorial message at the end of the episode and provided her husband with a video compilation of her best moments from the filming. Zimmer stated that her passing has given the broadcast of the episode a ‘significantly different meaning’.
