Death of Mădălina Apostol

Mădălina Apostol, the 40-year-old partner of businessman Nick Rădoi, died in the early hours of September 13, 2026. Rădoi confirmed she took her own life following a struggle with depression and vasculitis, a dangerous autoimmune disease. Apostol, a mother of three, had reportedly received specialized psychiatric treatment in Romania and had experienced previous mental health crises, including a hospitalization in Mexico after ingesting a large quantity of medication. Rădoi noted that Apostol owned a home in Mexico and had planned to return there with her family once her health stabilized. Following her death, funeral services and a wake were held at a chapel. Her eldest son, Tony, requested respect for the family and denied rumors that her death was premeditated, describing the incident as a “tragic accident” and noting she had been in close contact with him on the day she died. He also expressed her wish for her three children to remain united. In response to the tragedy, the father of Apostol’s youngest daughter stated he would consult a specialist to assist the child in processing the trauma. Friends and associates, including Bianca Drăgușanu, gathered at the chapel to pay their respects. Apostol was eventually laid to rest at the ‘Eternitatea’ Private Cemetery in Bucharest. The funeral service, held at the Church of the Holy Emperors Constantine and Elena, included a mariachi band as a tribute to her years living in Mexico. The family reported that she was found dead in a bathtub after going upstairs to shower, leaving no note or final message; her last words to the family indicated she was “simply relaxing.” During the funeral service, Apostol’s mother reportedly required medical attention due to emotional distress.
