Death of model Presley Gerber

Overview

Model and actor Presley Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died on September 20 at age 27 while at Resolutions Living, a residential recovery facility in Santa Monica, California.

While the Santa Monica Police Department is investigating the death as a suspected drug overdose, a death certificate later noted that Gerber passed away following a cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has been conducting investigations to determine the official cause of death, and reports indicate his remains were cremated several days after his passing.

Following the news, family members and associates shared tributes. His sister, Kaia Gerber, and his parents described him as a ‘sweet and beautiful soul,’ expressing profound grief. In a joint statement, the family expressed pride in his kindness and vulnerability. Kaia Gerber also shared a personal letter and childhood videos to honor her brother, describing him as her ‘best friend and protector.’ His former girlfriend, Cameron Rorrison, characterized him as having an ‘enormous heart’ and being ‘an angel in this life and will be in the next.’

Gerber had established a career in modeling with agencies such as IMG Models, appearing in campaigns for brands including Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, and Calvin Klein. He had been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction.
