Tyler Duckworth, a two-time winner of MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ and former cast member of ‘The Real World: Key West’, has died at age 44. Duckworth was found unresponsive in his bathroom in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on August 11, after neighbors reported water leaking through their ceiling caused by an overflowing bathtub. The Grand Forks Police Department classified the incident as an unattended death, noting there were no immediate signs of foul play, trauma, or suspicious circumstances. While his mother, Joni, confirmed his passing via social media, the official cause of death remains pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology report. The North Dakota State Forensic Examiner’s Office indicated that the full investigation is expected to take approximately 90 days to complete. A ~~memorial~~ private funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22 23, at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand ~~Forks, attended by fellow~~ Forks. Fellow reality TV veteran Johnny ‘Bananas’ ~~Devenanzio.~~ Devenanzio attended the service and shared photos on social media, describing Duckworth as “more than a friend and a brother.” Greg Bennett-Cesarini also attended, noting that Duckworth had been a presence in his life for 20 years. Duckworth, who also worked as a history teacher, was a prominent figure in reality television, having won ‘Cutthroat’ in 2010 and ‘Rivals’ in 2011, and later appearing on ‘The Challenge: All Stars’ in 2021 and 2022. He was last seen publicly on July 31 at a ‘Challenge Mania’ event in Minneapolis.
