Ambedkar, involving Speaker Vijender Gupta and several MLAs. On August 17, 2026, Gupta flagged off another Tiranga Yatra organized by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in Connaught Place. Approximately 6,000 participants, including students and local citizens, joined the march from the Janpath Radial. During this event, Gupta described the yatra as a collective expression of patriotism and a commitment to the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, emphasizing the role of youth in education, technology, and artificial intelligence to drive national development. Throughout these events, celebrations, Gupta has described the tricolour as a symbol of “national pride, sacrifice, and unity,” and has encouraged citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes to transform independence celebrations into a mass movement.
