Delta Force second anniversary and UE5 roadmap update

Overview

Following the “Season Reorientation” anniversary update, developer Team Jade has released a technical and gameplay roadmap extending into 2027. A central pillar of this plan is a gradual transition to Unreal Engine 5 to enhance visual fidelity and mechanics.

A major upcoming feature is the “Siege: Valkyrie” map, scheduled for release in early 2027. This extraction-focused Hazard Operations map will be built entirely in Unreal Engine 5 and will depict a sprawling metropolis split by a massive wall between an affluent uptown district and a resource-depleted outer zone. Notably, the map will allow players from different difficulty tiers to participate in the same match.

In the immediate term, the game has introduced “Detonation,” a new 5v5 bomb-planting mode currently in open beta that focuses on close-quarters combat. To support player retention, recent updates have also implemented one-click loadouts and a redesigned tutorial, alongside anniversary objectives for earning Delta Tickets and cosmetic rewards, such as the “Golden State AUG” skin. Looking toward early next year, the roadmap includes the introduction of “Operator Archives” and social spaces known as “Operators Quarters.”
