Deluxe music reissues for Miles Davis and The Alan Parsons

Music collectors are seeing new deluxe reissues for various artists. Vinyl Me Please has released ‘Miles Davis: The Electric Years’, a super deluxe 11-disc, 7LP boxed set focusing on the jazz-rock fusion period between 1969 and 1974. The collection includes all-analog remastered albums such as ‘Bitches Brew’, ‘In A Silent Way’, and ‘Live Evil’ on 180-gram black vinyl.

Additionally, The Alan Parsons Project is marking the 50th anniversary of its 1976 debut album, ‘Tales Of Mystery And Imagination Edgar Allan Poe’. The reissue series includes several formats: a limited three-LP set, a 3-CD set, an exclusive picture disc, and a Blu-ray.

The audio, mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, features the original album, a 1987 remix, and a ‘Work in Progress’ collection containing demos and alternative takes. The 3-CD set includes 34 bonus tracks, 12 of which are previously unreleased. The Blu-ray edition will provide a new 2026 Dolby Atmos mix and a 2016 5.1 surround sound mix. Deluxe packaging will include illustrated booklets with lyrics and commentary from Alan Parsons, Sally Woolfson, and other contributors.
