Denmark cycling team selection for World Championships

The Danish Cycling Union has announced its national team selection for the UCI Road World Championships in Canada, scheduled for late September 2026. The men’s road race squad will be led by captains Mads Pedersen and Mattias Skjelmose, supported by a roster including Kasper Asgreen, Mikkel Bjerg, Andreas Kron, Michael Valgren, Mikkel Honoré, and Søren Kragh Andersen. Mikkel Bjerg and Kasper Asgreen are set to compete in the individual time trial. The women’s road race will feature Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and Solbjørg Minke Anderson, alongside U23 representatives. While Denmark will not participate in the women’s elite time trial, the selection includes U23 athletes such as Kristian Egholm and Mads Landbo. Additionally, an athlete from Kolding has been selected for the championships and expressed confidence despite a turbulent year.
