The digital landscape in Poland is undergoing a significant transformation characterized by a shift toward mobile-first and on-demand content. In the digital gaming and entertainment sectors, operators are increasingly adopting localized strategies to compete, such as integrating the BLIK mobile payment system to meet consumer preferences for instant, app-based transactions. Simultaneously, media consumption habits are moving away from traditional scheduled television programming. While televisions remain common in households, they are increasingly used as interfaces for streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. This transition is supported by high mobile adoption and internet usage, though the proliferation of multiple subscription services is creating new financial considerations for consumers. In the mobile technology sector, new tools are emerging to manage connectivity costs. Motorola has launched the ‘Global Connect’ application in Poland, developed with Gigs, to help smartphone users reduce international roaming expenses. The app enables users with compatible eSIM-capable Motorola devices to purchase prepaid data packages for use in over 160 countries, including 5G support. This service allows users to maintain their original phone number and physical SIM for calls and texts while using a dedicated eSIM profile for data transmission.
