Overview

Dimension Energy, a community solar developer owned by Partners Group, has secured $857 million to expand its distributed solar portfolio in the United States. The financing is structured as a $200 million increase to the company’s corporate credit facility and a $657 million construction-to-term debt and tax equity package.

The capital is designated to support 29 distributed solar projects totaling 149 MW across Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The credit facility was led by Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit and HPS Investment Partners, while Advantage Capital is serving as the tax equity investor. Other participating financial institutions include MUFG Bank, First Citizens Bank, ING Capital, National Bank of Canada, and Fifth Third Bank.

Dimension Energy aims to use this funding to reach a target of 1 GW of operating capacity by 2028.
