While Dinamo continues its ascent, UTA Arad remains in 10th place with 18 points. UTA midfielder Alin Roman expressed concerns regarding his club’s financial stability, noting that failure to remain in the SuperLiga could result in significant financial losses for players. Issues regarding racial abuse persisted during a Romanian Cup derby between CFR Cluj and Universitatea Cluj. In the 69th minute, CFR Cluj coach Marius Șumudică ordered his players off the pitch to protest racist chants from opposing supporters. Șumudică reported that he had warned officials of potential abuse prior to kickoff, but expressed frustration that the match was not halted when he was targeted with the slur ‘țiganule’ (gypsy). Following the match, Șumudică revealed he had also faced an attempted intimidation incident where approximately ten masked individuals surrounded his vehicle at his hotel. While Universitatea Cluj captain Alex Chipciu clarified that he did not approve of the decision to stop the match, Șumudică indicated he may leave CFR Cluj if the club faces a potential six-point deduction due to financial issues. In Round 14, Dinamo hosted UTA Arad at the Arena Națională. Dinamo entered the match as league leaders with a 12-match unbeaten streak. Following the fixture, Dinamo reclaimed first place with a 2-0 victory, featuring goals from Danny Armstrong and Diogo Pinto. This win brings Dinamo to 33 points and maintains a perfect home record of seven wins in seven matches.
