The 83rd Venice International Film Festival and various Italian regional screenings are highlighting diverse documentary subjects and industry initiatives. Produced by Nexting in collaboration with Rai Documentari, the film explores 110 years of Italian boxing history through ten symbolic rounds covering themes such as social redemption, female boxing, and ParaBoxe. The festival also features the world premiere of the short film ‘Puca’ by Sara Scalera during International Critics Week (SIC@SIC). Set in the 1990s, the film is a coming-of-age story following three sisters. Additionally, the event serves as a platform for regional film commissions and industry showcases, such as the ‘Roma e Lazio Days’ and participation from the Lecco Film Fest and the city of Riccione to promote audiovisual production and the future of cinema.
