In Vargem, Santa Catarina, a 34-year-old woman was shot and killed by her ex-partner after she refused to withdraw a protective order; the incident was witnessed by her five minor children. In Mato Grosso do Sul, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Paranaíba for attempting to invade a neighbor's home while armed with a barbecue skewer, violating protective measures.
