Dominican comedy “Entiérrenlo Parao” premieres in New York performing arts productions
Dominican theatrical and cinematic productions are expanding through local stage performances and international premieres. In the Dominican Republic, new stage productions include the comedy ‘Ni Locas, Ni Cuerdos’, scheduled for August 2026 at the Teatro Nacional, and the dramedy ‘PARADISO’, set to debut in September 2026 at the Escuelas de Bellas Artes to benefit the Fundación Jompéame. Expanding to international audiences, the Dominican film ‘Entiérrenlo Parao’, directed by Ronni Castillo, held its premiere at the 15th Dominican Film Festival in New York. The black comedy, which follows the chaotic wake of a drug kingpin, features prominent Dominican actresses such as Yorlla Castillo and Hony Estrella.
