In late July 2026, Mayra Jiménez, director of the Supérate program, chaired a meeting with Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) officials in Barahona province. The gathering brought together local party leaders, the provincial governor and other authorities to discuss strengthening the party’s grassroots presence ahead of upcoming political activities. A week later, PRM leaders expanded the effort nationwide, traveling to multiple provinces to hold assemblies and community consultations. The feedback collected was compiled into the document “Hablemos PRM,” which outlines recommendations for party renewal and continued engagement with Dominican society. The final presentation of the reform plan took place in San Cristóbal, where party figures highlighted the achievements of President Luis Abinader’s administration while acknowledging pending community demands, urging members to prioritize collective interests over individual ambitions. On 2 August 2026 the party formally launched the “Hablemos PRM” document in San Cristóbal after months of consultations with community groups, neighbourhood councils, sports clubs and social leaders. The plan calls for deeper internal participation, renewal of party structures, expanded roles for youth and women, and stronger communication with the base to align decisions with the Dominican Republic’s evolving social and economic realities. Eduardo “Yayo” Sanz Lovatón urged members to renew their energies and place collective interests above individual aspirations. At the same event the PRM Women’s Front held a plenary to set its national leadership for 2026‑2028, and the Agro‑Sector Front re‑elected engineer Eulalio Ramírez as president with backing from President Luis Abinader and senior party figures, underscoring a broader push for internal cohesion ahead of upcoming electoral cycles.
